And that's not really about the usual health risks associated with stress - premature grey hair, heart attacks, sagging, impotence and all that malaky. No - what I'm talking about here is subjective time, and time distortion.
It came to pass that ideas were required to get something going that was languishing, and underperforming, and not doing well at all.All around the conference table sighed and shook their heads; many things had already been tried and they had all failed to produce profit and results, and now, everyone was depressed, and disheartened.Until one amongst them cried - "Let's get out the Genius Symbols! There MUST be things we haven't thought of yet - just one good idea will do! Let's not give up just yet, let's do it RIGHT NOW!"
What is Project Sanctuary? What does it have to do with metaphor? What is a habitat? A Threshold Shift? Why is it called "a game"? What is the story ...?

A lot of people think of aromatherapy as a slightly "woowoo" hippie thing that doesn't pack a punch, but let me tell you that I've got a deep hole in my computer case. I got it because I placed a bottle of Rose Geranium essential oil on it and it must have leaked a drop or two - and burned straight through the space age plastic! Apart from the fact that aromatherapy essential oils are madly concentrated - over a million flowers go into a single bottle of Jasmine, for example! - it is their intensive effects on the olfactory system, human smell, that makes them such a perfect choice for stress relieving. Smell is the only one of our major senses that is not routed through the neo cortex and goes straight into the "reptilian brain" - the oldest parts of our brain, and the ones that have a lot to do with how we experience especially danger and stress.
Here is a really quick and very helpful way to de-stress immediately from the EMO family of first aid techniques. This is also a technique you can do any time you start to feel a build up of stress and you can use it without anyone else noticing what you are doing.
Herbs are not second best to "chemical medicine" in helping to fight stress. In the contrary - herbs are much more intelligent, have many more components that all work together, and of course, they have EVOLVED TOGETHER with our likewise immensely complicated human bodies, side by side.
There is nothing more stress relieving than the beauty of nature - standing by a gorgeous waterfall, in a peaceful valley, a tranquil garden or a tropical paradise, for example, makes stress simply disappear, as though fear cannot be in the presence of such beauty. Many of us live lives devoid of these experiences every day, but we can evoke nature's beauty and healing energies by turning our minds towards such times and places of rest and relaxation.
Imagination is a two edged sword. On the one hand, most of the stress experienced by human being isn't a response to any kind of real danger - like a lion appearing around the corner would be to a gazelle - but is in fact a response to IMAGINED horrors, terrors and worst case scenarios. So imagination has a lot to answer for - but what is the answer? Should we switch imagination off so we can stress less, or can we use the very thing that causes us the most stress to live beautiful and worthwhile lives?
This is the fast version of an EFT protocol, which works by stimulating important meridian points and improving energy flow. This leads to stress relief and relaxation - try it out for yourself online right now, it only takes 2 minutes.
One of the signs of stress is that we fail to see the funny side of things. Humour failure. This is one of the Stressfish's very favourite funny stress items ever - enjoy!
We are going to make a simple anti-stress anchor for a particular situation where you ALWAYS get really stressed out and where some thing that would bring you back down to Earth and calm you down would be not just very welcome, but also very useful so you make better decisions and feel more in control of yourself generally.
I am a true expert on the topic of how stupid stress makes a person, and the child of another expert.
This illustration called "Open Your Mind" was created to accompany the article "Project Sanctuary In A Nutshell." The physical brain is one thing, but the human mind is another, altogether :-)

Matrix Reimprinting is an energy psychology technique which combines the use of the bodymind with quantum physics and New Science, for rapid personal evolution. Below is a little of the science and the scientists whose leading edge scientific understanding and dicoveries have inspired the basis of and techniques behind Matrix Reimprinting.
Peter Delves writes: On the face of it, you might think that using meridian energy therapies is simple. Take EFT for example. You contact the problem, give it a number and tap away until it’s zero. Job done. Easy. Yes? Not always. Problems can be complex and what’s going on under the surface can be hard to fathom. Not only that, but using the right language can be difficult to figure out. NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) has ways of assisting the MET practitioner. It offers powerful insights into how people think feel and behave, and it’s also about change.
