I HATE Gratitude!

I HATE Gratitude!

Gratitude - it's the "in thing" right now. But what if you don't feel grateful? What if your life really sucks, and the last thing you want is to make yourself grateful for the sh1t show you find yourself in???

I hate Gratitude! Gratitude sucks!

Gratitude - it's the "in thing" right now. But what if you don't feel grateful? What if your life really sucks, and the last thing you want is to make yourself grateful for the sh1t show you find yourself in??? Well ... I offer a bridge, it's a Star Matrix thing.

First of all, NEVER EVER EVER be grateful against your will. It's horrible, it's wrong, it will never do anything good.

Gratitude is a feeling that comes from within; it's a wave that rises up inside you and yes, it is hugely uplifting, BUT "fake gratitude" or "trying to be grateful for sh1t, somehow," is hugely destructive.

Let's do this the Star Matrix way.

Take a deep breath in and out, and remember a time in your life when gratitude had really happened, when you really FELT IT in every cell, every bone of your body.

A brief flashing moment where gratitude was REAL.

I remember a moment, many years ago. I had brought a friend to a society party, and he was so nervous, so afraid. I did the best I could of course to help him, but he was faltering, drowning, really that was the best word.

There were so many people there, but out of all of them, there was ONE, I didn't know them, a man, who "saw the suffering," and noticed it, and came over and said some friendly, kind words, and I could see my friend starting to pick up and respond, and I felt this huge wave of gratitude to this stranger, it was really quite overwhelming.

This is what real gratitude is, what it feels like.

I am not an "ungrateful" person. I can be grateful - it is a response to something that is making you feel grateful.

Every person has their own memories of real gratitude.

Before we go any further, the first step is to connect with THAT, to remind ourselves what real gratitude is, what it feels like, what it does to you. What you learned from that experience.

The next step is to really think and say and feel, "I want MORE opportunities in my life to feel like that."

We don't need to know that could happen; there is a big element of surprise to the natural experience of gratitude. It often happens when we least expect it; with people we never thought for a moment could trigger such a powerful RESPONSE in us.

Also. When you have found one memory of REAL GRATITUDE, don't stop there. Ask for other memories. Allow yourself to be surprised both at how truly grateful you have already been; your own capacity to experience this unique sensation; and don't let people tell you that you are "ungrateful" because you can't feel that where you are "supposed to."

Real gratitude is a real thing, it's an amazing thing.

Just remember.
