EMO: So That People Can Help Each Other

EMO: So That People Can Help Each Other

EMO is a simple technique to help people deal with negative emotions.

EMO works by focusing on the feelings in the body. Rather than talking "about" anger, sadness, fear, shame, heartache and depression, we simply ask directly, "Where do you feel that in your body? Show me with your hands!"

Now we know where the place of pain is, and now, there are things we can do.

Now we know where the place of pain is, and now, there are things we can do.

We can massage that place with our hands, breathe deeply and encourage the painful energy there to soften, and flow.

We can physically feel something moving, something flowing down our arms or legs, from our chests or down our backs; these sensations "that have no physical cause" but we feel them in our bodies, those are emotions.

You can't flow away anger, but you can soften and flow that feeling in your chest directly that doesn't have a name at all, that is a sensation, a pressure or a pain; and that feeling responds to touch, and to our intention.

In Western World "psychology and counselling" touching isn't allowed; but even there, the presence of another who can encourage us to keep breathing, to keep focused on the feeling, get out of our heads and back into our bodies, and to really let those injuries heal and the emotions flowing away at last is a godsend.

But EMO isn't psychology; it isn't counselling, and it's not just for therapists and clients.

EMO is for people.

EMO is there so that people can help each other.

Simply, directly and most of all, effectively.

When you see someone who is upset, or crying, or holding their heads in their hands, or their hands before their face, you don't need a degree in psychology to ask them, "Where does it hurt? Can you show me with your hands?"

They can show you, and you can encourage them to massage that place, make it feel better, let it soften and flow. You can take their hand, put your arm around their shoulder, put your hands on theirs and help with the healing.

You can let your desire to help the other flow from you like a powerful wave that helps the process of healing old injuries and flowing away the pain.

It's easy, and it is completely natural to all human beings.

We all feel emotional pain, and our own healing hands and those of others make the all the difference.

EMO is absolutely real, it really works, and you cannot go wrong with it.

It is so easy and so simple, it takes literally only minutes to explain how it works to someone who has never heard of it before.

More than that, you can just ask, "Is there an emotion that hurts you? An emotional pain you wish that would go away? Where is that? Show me with your hands ..." and simply start the EMO process of putting your healing attention there, massaging that erea, and letting the painful emotional energies begin to soften, and to flow.

As soon as that happens, people are amazed. They are relieved. Then they are astonished that it should be so easy to change emotions, that even powerful emotions, old and painfully hard emotions do indeed begin to soften, and to flow right out of the body, and that you can feel that happening as it is happening for real.

And then, they are delighted as they find the painful emotion really has left their body, and they feel peaceful, good, freed up after being locked down and depressed by their pain. They can breathe again, their whole body comes to life again.

And they start to smile ...

There is a mountain of theory behind EMO, and oceans of different techniques, approaches and uses for EMO.

But we must never forget that EMO is really as simple as that.

We must always remember that EMO is for helping people FINALLY have something that works to deal with our emotions in a new way.

And we must always remember that EMO is not just for the chosen few, the well educated, the rich Westerners, for the  experienced or knowledgeable healers, or elders and gurus, but instead, EMO for all people, and so that people can help themselves, and each other with their emotions.

Simply. Reliably. And for real.
