EFT Case Story: Nina Finds Her Voice

EFT Master Practitioner John Blosse from Brighton has written a case story that highlights the immediacy of EFT, showing how with a simple round of tapping we can overcome fundamental issues in a person's life.

In this case story it is a fear of speaking out and being assertive.

Read on for the case story...

I ran an EFT workshop at a church hall in Brighton recently when this happened…

I was working with a woman in front of a semi-circle of eight people who were happily tapping along. They had written their own issues on a piece of paper, looked at it for a minute or so to bring up intensity, then placed the piece of paper under their chair (something called borrowing benefits).

One woman, Nina, had been working on ‘I’m not able to speak up when I feel I need to’.

Suddenly, the ceiling exploded with sound. In fact, I could hardly hear my own voice. We carried on tapping as a wave of African singing began to vibrate around the room. And Nina stood up, pushed her chair back and left the room.

I would like to say at this point, that being the consumate professional we carried on tapping through everything that was going on, but we didn’t. We couldn’t. We waited. Then the singing stopped.

Nina emerged, walked steadily back to her chair and pushed it back into the semi-circle, looking up as if nothing had happened.

“The music’s stopped,” Jenny to Nina’s left smiled.

“Yes,” Nina replied, “I asked him to turn it down and he did.”

We all burst out laughing, including Nina who sat contented and nodding her head. Then, without emotion she grinned “I did it, I just went upstairs and did it. I’ve never done that before.”

Jenny asked her how it felt to be so assertive.

“It felt great,” Nina puffed out her chest and with a wink added, “just great.”
