The GoE Practitioner Certification Trainings History In 1998, a dedicated group of experienced therapists and trainers came together to create a set of trainings that would go beyond the confines of any one existing Meridian Energy Therapy system and teach the principles of theory and practice in the entire field in such a way that it would encompass all the many techniques. Note: This article refers to the original "MET Practitioner" and "MET Advanced Practitioner" qualifications. The GoE has since released a number of other qualifications for certifying energists, including the EFT Master Practitioner and EMO Practitioner. For a full list of qualifications see:
We are happy to add EFT Numa Pagina, the basic EFT Emotional Freedom Technique protocol in Portugese, courtesy of Claudia Giovani who also maintains a Portugese language EFT Emotional Freedom Technique site here.
Our focus this month is weight loss, with special attention given to a couple of aspects often missed! We also announce a clinical trial on pain treatment.
Oceans of Energy by Silvia Hartmann - the original energy evocation and a poem that lies at the heart of EMO - our personal entrance ticket to the "Oceans of Energy". If you could shift your point of view ...
Emotional
Freedom Techniques (EFT™)
by
Ananga Sivyer
Emotional Freedom
Techniques, or EFT for short, are still relatively new to the UK but the word is
spreading fast. Why? Because these techniques really work and anyone can learn
to use them.
EFT works
upon the meridian system as do many well-known therapies such as acupuncture and
shiatsu. Using a set sequence of potent points EFT balances meridian flow and
promotes relief from both emotional and physical pain.
Here follows a light-hearted
look at working with EFT in relationships. Retold here with kind permission of a
lovely couple who were participants at a recent practitioner-training weekend.
This month we have the following:
Treating Trauma. A review of Gary Craig's "story" technique,
including Ericksonian applications and the choice set-up which I developed
early this year.
Choose Your Life. This new chat list for depression self-treaters is
now active.
Neuro-somatic Treatment for Depression: Join our International Research
Project. Share in this groundbreaking research effort and help change
the face of mental health care world wide.
In this half-day workshop I will teach you the basics of EFT and how to use it for yourself. It is an opportunity to learn these remarkable techniques in a friendly and supportive environment.
Venue: Leamington Spa, Warwickshire.
Date:Saturday December 1st 2001
Trainer: Peter Delves
Further Details:www.delves.co.uk or e-mail info@delves.co.uk
This month we have the following:
Update on GaugeWork.
Would you believe that gauges can be "applied" to
events?!
Trial notes and book
announcement. A discussion of the most effective aspects
of the depression treatment program, and announcing a book in progress
comprehensively describing our successful approach to depression
treatment.
Neuro-somatic
Treatment for Depression: A Preliminary Report on a Group Treatment
Program. This is the research paper on
a successful clinical trial of a self-treatment program for depression in a
group setting.

Using MET Therapies & Techniques With Clients -
Web Based Practitioner Certification Training (C.P.AMT) with full Tutor
support available now world wide through The Sidereus Foundation. Designed &
written by Silvia Hartmann under advice from The Association For Meridian Energy
Therapies. SF Special - Sign up before Oct. 31st and save $50 on the Installment
program.
There is a big difference between using METs and especially, EFT Emotional Freedom Techniques for self help and helping another with these techniques. Tapping therapeutically is an explanation how and when to tap on others, safely in a therapeutic context, i.e. with you being the practitioner and the other in the role of the client. This is for EFT Emotional Freedom Techniques therapists and professional practitioners. PDF Document in the Downloads section.
Based on an abbreviated TAB protocol, the Two Minute Release Technique is
designed to gently introduce people who may have no background in psychology or
meridian/energy therapies to the benefits of our techniques in an efficient and
straightforward way. A short animation guides the visitor through the facial
points with a minimum of instructions to provide a personal experience of the
power of the techniques to release tension, emotions and improve clarity of mind
and body. The direct link to the page is /stress.htm
- forward it to those who might need it at this time.
From The GoE Information Office: We would like to express our support and best wishes to all concerned. Our thoughts and prayers are with all who have been touched by this disaster. To offer help with questions, concerns and emotional problems that have arisen as a result of the terrible tragedy, we have set up a MET email helpline at 11(at)theamt.com staffed by experienced GoE volunteers.
We would also ask our international members to make a physical sign of support by donating to the International Red Cross or to call (800) HELP-NOW for information in English or (800) 257-7575 for information in Spanish.
Silvia Hartmann writes: I needed something that was more open ended than the SUDs scale and also, I didn’t want to discriminate and call emotions “disturbances” nor did there seem any point to go on about how, of course and indeed, emotions are most subjective indeed. Introducing the EI Scale - measuring emotional intensity on a range of subjects.
Definition of "acupressure" per dictionary in my hovel's bookshelves?
One word: "shiatsu." (Merriam-Webster's Collegiate Dictionary, Tenth Ed., 1993.)
When you present EFT Emotional Freedom Techniques to the public, it is likely that this would be the
first contact the potential clients or seekers have with not only the technique
but also with you as the representative of the entire field of energy/meridian
therapies as a whole.
