I appear to have fallen into a role of International Ambassador for EMO. I’m not quite sure how it happened, but it seems to have been a natural evolutionary process. Having been at the launch of EMO in 2002 and having been one of the most active UK trainers since then, now that EMO is becoming more mature there is a growing demand for our international friends asking for workshops in their home country.

Phil Mollon writes: Over twenty years ago, working in a psychiatric setting, I began to encounter one or two patients suffering with a Dissociative Identity Disorder [DID]. This is a condition, usually resulting from severe and repeated childhood trauma, in which the normally integrated and communicative processes and parts of the psyche have become dissociated. Different personality states and behaviours may appear at different times, sometimes with separate distinct identities and names. The different parts may express quite different attitudes, beliefs, mannerisms – and basically appear like different people inhabiting the same body. Work with such people can seem like family or group therapy but with just one physical body.

We have had many requests for free guided imagery meditation scripts, and in particular, for an inner child guided meditation or a hypnosis or self hypnosis script to meet the inner child.

Silvia Hartmann has kindly written "The Child In The Meadow" for us to pass on for free - with our best wishes to the inner child, the angel child.

To love the animals, to love just a single animal, perhaps just once in your lifetime, starts to make that connection happen. It is a precious, powerful thing and the love of the animals brings us back, reconnects us to where we came from, and it might start right there, that the love for ALL is planted, and begins to grow.

And so, and in a very real and practical sense, animals are our angels.
